Running from Monday 24 August to Sunday 6 September, Jurassic Takeover marks the reopening of Port Lympne’s newly reimagined Dinosaur Forest. Set within ancient woodland, the experience features 91 life-size dinosaurs and ancient megafauna from 62 species, spanning hundreds of millions of years of prehistory, alongside special ranger-led dinosaur talks and activities.
A visit also gives visitors the chance to discover some of the 900 animals across 75 species at Port Lympne, explore its 600 acres of Kent countryside 
and hop aboard the Reserve’s iconic truck safari.
For families looking for a final holiday hurrah before the new school year, there’s a particularly strong value angle too: kids’ tickets are 50% off during Jurassic Takeover, bringing the online child ticket price down to £14.50, while adult tickets are £36.
Visitors can also enter the #PortLympneJurassicTakeover photo competition by sharing their favourite Dinosaur Forest pictures on Instagram or Facebook, with five family tickets to Port Lympne Illuminated up for grabs.
