“I have had so much fun writing Dino Dad and Dylan the Dino Boy, and I could not be more excited to be sharing my brand-new series, Dino Racers! I’m so lucky to have a career in children’s TV that’s lasted since 2007 and is still going! Now I feel even luckier to have been welcomed so warmly into the wonderful world of children’s books – and connecting with so many readers over the past two years.
When thinking about what I wanted to write next, I looked back on the moments I fell in love with books – and the times I’ve seen my own little ones fall in love with books, too. I wanted to write a story that helps younger readers find this spark – a book that children who might be more easily distracted (or be tempted to choose a video game) would really love, and would want to keep reading! Dino Racers was my answer!

The launch of Dino Racers follows the success of Andy’s debut series Dino Dad, illustrated by Steven Lenton – which was one of the best-selling young fiction series of 2024 and 2025 – and Andy’s first ever picture book, illustrated by Alex Patrick, Dylan the Dino Boy Saves Christmas. Dylan’s second adventure, Dylan the Dino Boy Saves the Zoo, will be released on 2 July 2026.
