The new play barn at Godstone Farm opens: Surrey’s biggest soft play!

Surrey’s biggest soft play destination has opened at Godstone Farm; spanning 351.8 sq.mt, featuring 4 tiers and seven slides, with capacity for 200 children - plus grown-ups. A handful of specially selected guests including East Surrey MP, Claire Coutinho, and friends of the farm were lucky enough to attend the early preview event, of the new Playbarn at Godstone Farm on Saturday 17th June and put the huge new facility to the test, ahead of the official opening today, Monday 19th June 2023.

Whilst big on scale and fun, the new Playbarn at Godstone Farm has also been designed to pay homage to its unique farm setting - bringing many elements of the outside, inside. Colours, textures and patterns reflect the Surrey Hills, within which the 40 year old farm is located. The bespoke design was manufactured and installed by the UK’s leading manufacturer of soft play structures and as a result, it features an infinite number of routes, obstacles and climbing experiences to help kids stay active.

There has also been a lot of attention given to ensuring children and parents are well taken care of. There is a separate baby area and separate toddler area for smaller ones, and a new café serving fresh hot and cold drinks and meals. Plus, there is a specially accredited Changing Places toilet and passenger lift installed in the double storey playbarn to ensure all accessibility needs are met.

CEO of Godstone Farm, Nicola Henderson comments: “It’s been over 12 months of planning, but I’m delighted to open the doors to our new playbarn with its ginormous soft play! Given the current economic climate, the new Playbarn means that visitors who come to Godstone Farm in rain or sunshine will have a fantastic time – and really make a day of it. This investment allows us to deliver even more value for money and lots more fun.”

Nicola adds: “The new playbarn is also available for private hire, so we are looking forward to welcoming lots of community groups and teams to have exclusive use of the space.”

Founder of Godstone Farm, Jackie Flaherty adds: “For over forty years, we’ve been focussed on creating lifelong memories for the families who visit the farm, the new playbarn does just that. I am thrilled that it will encourage even more adventure, exploration and creative play for this new generation of visitors.”

Visitors to Godstone Farm can experience the new state of the art, all-weather play barn as part of their ticket entry, offering even better value for money and lots more fun!
