Visit Bore Place this October half term for a special bat evening aimed at younger bat enthusiasts! Scheduled a little earlier than usual so you’re home in time for bed (or not too late!), join us for an after dark adventure hunting for bats.
Our night-time walk will take you on a short route around the estate, guided by one of our Rangers. Armed with a bat detector, you’ll look out for our resident bats as they leave their roosts and fly out to catch insects.
Of course we hope to find lots of bats (and will do our best!), but please bear in mind that we can’t control the wildlife and occasionally we don’t find anything. We’ll also keep our eyes peeled and hope to spot some other wildlife – possibly deer or hares – and we might even hear owls!
