Charlie & the Chocolate Factory – The Musical
18-21 November 2026, Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells
Get ready to unwrap a world of wonder as Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – The Musical, bursts onto the stage at The Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells from 18 to 21 November! This devilishly delicious production brings to life Dahl’s beloved tale of golden tickets, mouth-watering sweets, and one extraordinary chocolate maker.
Join young Charlie Bucket as he discovers one of the five elusive golden tickets granting entry to Willy Wonka’s mysterious factory. Beyond the gates he finds that life’s sweetest surprises often come with a few unexpected lessons. Inside Wonka’s world, nothing is quite as it seems – and nobody leaves the same way they arrived.
Featuring favourite songs from the original 1970s motion picture, such as “The Candy Man” and “Pure Imagination”, this magical musical will delight the whole family.
Bucket collections will take place after each performance to raise funds for the local charity Demelza which provides care for children and young people with serious or life-limiting conditions.
Performances take place daily at 2pm and 7pm. A BSL signed performance will take place on Thursday 19 November at 7pm.
