Laser Quest Tunbridge Wells – October Launch Date Confirmed

October date confirmed for launch of Laser Quest Tunbridge Wells!

New immersive family attraction brought back to the town by lifelong Tunbridge Wells resident

The UK’s most immersive laser-tag experience is making a long-awaited return to Tunbridge Wells this autumn, with the launch on 3 October of a brand-new Laser Quest attraction at Knights Park Leisure Centre, next to Hollywood Bowl and the Odeon cinema.

The venue – located in the former Hop House pub – will feature Laser Quest as well as a new laser maze attraction Mission Laser, arcade games, and three purpose-built party rooms, making it the go-to destination for fun-seeking families, teens, young adults, and businesses in Tunbridge Wells and surrounding towns.

The new site is being brought to the town by James Ford, a lifelong Tunbridge Wells resident and father, in partnership with Jam Motafram and the Laser Quest national franchise team. Their aim: to bring back a much-loved experience that many residents still remember fondly.

“There used to be a Laser Quest in Tunbridge Wells years ago, I loved playing there in my youth and people still talk about how great it was,” said James Ford. “As someone who grew up here and now has a young family of my own, I’m really proud to be part of bringing Laser Quest back to the town – and this time, it’s bigger, better, and more immersive than ever.”

The venue will be designed for families with young children, tweens and teens, birthday party planners, young people, and local businesses looking for unique team-building experiences, and is expected to create new local jobs.

Laser Quest transforms the classic game of tag into a high-octane, video game-style adventure. Players step into a space-themed arena filled with catwalks, mazes, and galactic-style architecture, all brought to life with pulsating music, dazzling lights and special effects.

Suitable for players taller than 1.1m, Laser Quest invites participants to compete in thrilling laser battles – scoring points by tagging opponents while dodging return fire. Whether it’s a birthday party, school holiday activity, or company team day, it’s an unforgettable competitive experience.

“Laser Quest is about fun, energy, and excitement for all ages,” said James. “We’re building on the success of the many Laser Quest venues across the UK, and we know this concept will be just as popular here – especially with such a rich local history and a clear demand for more family entertainment in Tunbridge Wells.”

Laser Quest Tunbridge Wells is on track to open on 3 October 2025, with early-bird offers of 10% on all bookings including Birthday Parties. The experience is suitable for children aged six and over with group bookings of up to 30 people available.
