Rapunzel.. Rapunzel..

Rapunzel.. Rapunzel.. let down your hair!  The brilliant Immersion Theatre have been touring with their open air production of Rapunzel.  We were lucky enough to see it in the glorious grounds of Emmetts Garden (which is a great family trip out in itself incidentally).

One of the amazing things about Panto has always been that there’s something for everyone and regardless of age you’re guaranteed to come away smiling.

Rapunzel was no exception and delivered oodles of entertainment, with the high energy Chester the Jester, gags galore, some brilliant dance routines and of course the obligatory Panto Villain Booooo!

The wonderful outdoor setting also allowed for the audience to enjoy (or live in fear) of the interactive element, the most notable being Prince Arthur and Chester the Jester running around with water pistols.  My eldest son took far too long trying to get an umbrella open and of course failed miserably.

If you get the chance to catch a performance, we would highly recommend it for some fantastic family escapism and a big feel good factor.

Rapunzel is running until the end of the month with performances in Guildford, Henley, Shropshire, Northamptonshire and Norfolk.  There are lots of other upcoming productions too.  To find out more and book your tickets visit www.immersiontheatre.co.uk

If you’re looking for a less energetic, water pistol free day out in Kent, the National Trust have some wonderful locations waiting to welcome you, packed with things to do for all the family.  Visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk to find your nearest venue and find out what’s on.
