It’s 2022. Most industries are recognising the importance of Equality. Diversity. Sustainability. And yet, kids party bags still seem to be stuck in the 1980s. Why can’t you get a decent, unisex, football party bag anywhere? Why are mermaids always white with tiny Barbie waists? And why, oh why, are eco options always BROWN?! Two inspired local entrepreneurs, Sarah Russell and Jessica Ramm (who also happen to be mums), decided it was about time this changed. Lockdown was the chance they had been waiting for. After 18months of hard work, plenty of silliness and lots of wine, online company Bags Wonder Full launched in style to take a shot at shaking up the industry. More immersive, more sustainable, more inclusive, with three simple ways to order, it’s what parents everywhere have been waiting for…

Initial sales were up more than 700% from predicted figures, proving that they’re not the only ones to feel this way. Bags Wonder Full is catching the eye of many a busy, stressed, guilt-ridden parent. A way to save valuable time, ease the pressure to raise awareness even just a little bit and put some fun back into the minefield that is organising kids’ parties? Yes please! Single-handedly designing all their own bags and half their products from scratch, creative duo Jess and Sarah from Sidcup are offering something refreshingly different, with a focus on reducing environmental impact at affordable prices. There are themed, readymade bags or create-your-own options – and even some alternatives to the traditional bag for those who really want to challenge the norm.

In a bold move away from the tired plastic tat we associate with party bags, Bags Wonder Full are bursting with a mix of inspired, immersive, unique gifts, alongside some nostalgic old favourites we haven’t seen for years. Not only that, there’s barely any plastic packaging and many of their products are biodegradable or recyclable. Challenging stereotypes of gender, race, class and brain-wiring, this company is bringing party bags up to date in our increasingly diverse, inclusive world. They may be small, but they’re wearing big boots.
COMING SOON… Bags Wonder Full are about to start shipping orders in reused boxes! So simple. If every company recycled the good quality, sturdy boxes their stock arrived in, there would be considerably more trees in the world. These guys are clearly trying to do their bit, without losing the fun.
