Kew Wakehurst is a wild botanic garden in Ardingly, near Haywards Heath, where beautiful landscapes meet world-leading plant science. Its 535 acres include woodlands, meadows and living collections of plants from around the world. It is also home to the Millennium Seed Bank, which safeguards seeds from wild plant species and supports conservation research.
Families can explore the gardens through the seasons, discover nature together and enjoy changing trails, events and workshops. Cafés, a visitor shop and a plant centre offer places to pause during a visit.
After dark, Glow Wild transforms the landscape with handcrafted lanterns, light installations, music and performance. The 2026 trail takes visitors on a journey in search of nature’s gifts, from enchanted waters to frozen landscapes, with a spectacular Mansion projection and festive treats along the way. It runs on selected evenings from 26 November 2026 to 2 January 2027. Advance booking is essential; visit the Glow Wild website for the programme, accessibility information and booking details.
