Shoppers in East Grinstead are set to get even more choice this autumn, as The Works opens the doors to a brand-new store on London Road on Thursday, September 24th.
Located at 39 London Road, West Sussex, East Grinstead, RH19 1AW, the new store will bring even more great-value books, arts and crafts, toys, games and stationery to the area, along with an estimated 7 new jobs for the local community.
With a The Works already a familiar favourite at Unit 88 County Mall, Crawley, the exciting new opening means local shoppers will now have even more opportunities to browse, discover and enjoy brilliant deals and big-brand products from Disney, Marvel, Bluey, and beyond.
Founded in 1981, The Works is all about making creativity, learning and screen-free fun accessible for everyone. Whether it’s picking up a new book, discovering a craft activity or finding a family game night favourite, the retailer is known for helping customers enjoy everyday moments without stretching their budgets.

When the doors open, shoppers can take advantage of The Works’ popular multibuy deals, including 10 for £10 Kids picture books, 2 for £12 gifts and puzzles, and 3 for £7.50 fiction titles. The new store will also be stocked with must-read books such as The Christmas Tree Farm, Bonfire and Bliss Bookstore, The Hunger Games: Survival Edition and West of Forever, alongside trending ranges including Block Tech, K-Pop, Halloween, Christmas puzzles and Kids Craft. Customers can also pick up autumn essentials from PlayWorks, including the popular Bubble Machine, as well as essentials for both children and adults, with prices starting from just £1.
The store will be open 9am – 5:30pm Monday – Saturday and 10am – 4pm on Sundays.
