Bark in the Park, Borde Hill, Sunday 21st August, 10am-4pm

“A Pawsome Day Out at Borde Hill”

This summer why not take your four-legged friend to Borde Hill for a wonderful doggy day out in the Sussex countryside.

On Sunday 21st August a new event called Bark in the Park will take place at Borde Hill, featuring have-a-go activities, arena demonstrations, a fun dog show and a family ‘waggy tail’ trail.   When you or your furry friend need to refuel, head over to the food court for tasty treats for dogs and humans alike. Relax to live music and reward your pooch with a glass of pawsecco.

We are thrilled to announce that the host of the Bark in the Park arena will be rising superstar trainer Jodie Forbes. Jodie is a six time 1st place winning trainer at Crufts and awarded the prestigious Crufts Inspirational Young Person award in 2020.  Exciting arena displays range from Canine Hoopers to Dancing Heelwork, plus the chance to bring your four-legged friend into the arena for an interactive training demonstration or a mass obedience class.

You can also enter your dog in our Fun Dog Show, whether they’re the poshest pedigree, or have the waggiest tail, there are plenty of pawsome prizes to be won.  There will also be a Puppy parade where The Family Dog Club will show you and your puppy a series of beginner training signals.  Who knows, this might be the launch of a Crufts career for you and your puppy!

Over at the Flyball Arena, watch spectacular displays of this canine sport throughout the day. The Brighton Flyball team compete in national and international tournaments and will be on-hand to answer your questions about the sport – come along and enjoy the energetic spectacle or let your dog have-a-go!

Itching to get your paws on more dog-friendly entertainment? Try your hand at the Barkour course, get nosy in the scent trail or cool off in the wet play area (rubber ducks included!).

What day out would be complete without some retail therapy? Bark in the Park has a range of carefully selected stalls with everything your dog could possibly need – and maybe even a treat for you too.

Children can follow the ‘Waggy Tail’ trail around the lakes, discovering some fun dog facts and hilarious doggy jokes along the way.

Book your tickets in advance to save on admission. Early bird tickets are on sale now and include free entry to Borde Hill Garden and Woodland, an ideal time to enjoy roses and spectacular herbaceous borders.

Bark in the Park is open from 10am-4pm – dogs and children under 16 come for free!
