intu Bromley has been at the heart of the local community for the past 25 years, with an annual footfall of 18 million visitors. This July, the centre will be adding a host of new tastes to the town’s menu with the opening of an alfresco Restaurant Terrace overlooking Queen’s Garden. Joining the intu family are Byron Burger, Ed’s Diner, Giraffe, Project Pie and Wagamama. The five new restaurants complement the already wide choice of in-centre dining options including Belgo, Carluccio’s, Joe’s Kitchen and YO! Sushi.
The development will enhance Bromley’s increasingly vibrant food scene and locals will be able to enjoy London’s favourite world-cuisine without travelling further afield. From July 4, dining hours will be extended until 11pm and car parking will be available until midnight, drawing commuters from central London and boosting the town’s night life.
Sustainability is a core principle of the Restaurant Terrace development, which will also create an estimated 500 new jobs – a truly positive addition to the Borough.
The project is a major milestone in a 14 million pound redevelopment plan for intu Bromley, which has already produced a complete centre refresh and attracted new luxury goods and designer clothing stores including Fat Face, Jo Malone, Massimo Dutti, The White Company and Timberland. Also part of the redevelopment is an exciting new cinema located on the roof of the centre set to open in 2017. The cinema will be a high quality boutique concept with high end seating, an enhanced food offer and waiter service making it clearly distinct from a more traditional cinema.
ABOUT THE NEW RESTAURANTS:
Gourmet burger empire Byron offers simple, delicious, juicy hamburgers, made with properly-sourced British beef and the best ingredients possible. A favourite amongst Londoners as the ‘go to’ burger joint, Bromley locals will now get the chance to enjoy these beautiful juicy burgers with lots of flavour right on their doorstep.
Ed’s Easy Diner
At Ed’s you can relax at a booth or table and enjoy great food and service, or sit on a stool at the counter while listening to the retro juke box. Ed’s diner adds a taste of the 1950s to Bromley with a classic American menu which includes burgers, fried chicken and hot dogs. Diners will also get to see their food being freshly prepared in the open kitchen.
Explore many wonderful foods from around the globe while listening to world music in a vibrant atmosphere. The fast service and menu range will satisfy all members of the family, with generous portions that are good value for money. This restaurant will fast become a family favourite!
A new concept in pizza and already hugely popular in the US, Project Pie is bringing its second UK restaurant to Bromley. Diners are empowered to design and build their very own bespoke pizza, combining the restaurant’s unique artisan dough and the choice of 30 plus high quality toppings. The pizzas take less than three minutes to cook, and BrewDog craft beer is available!
Noodle and vegetarian lovers will no longer need to travel further than Bromley to enjoy popular ‘Japanese inspired’ dishes. Already a household favourite across London, Wagamama is inspired by fast-paced, Japanese ramen bars and a celebration of Asian food. Pick from all kinds of rice and noodle dishes, alongside fresh salads and shareable sides.
