Accessible Cycle Rides – Year-round wind-in-hair wellbeing: For elders & anyone living with disability or health challenges

Uniquely, our charity [Pedal People] trains carers and volunteers to pilot rides, enabling important connections with participants and access to enjoy the seafront and green spaces throughout our city.  A significantly different offering to more usual [but still rarer] options UK wide of ‘out-of-town’ circular athletic tracks.

Invigorating, fun, uplifting and (often only) outdoor activity via 2 different services:

  1. Elder Care Rides: Weekly for care homes/providers. Piloted by our Volunteer Cycle Pilot team.
  2. All-ages Accessible Rides from our seafront base: At this service we train carers, friends, family to pilot. Cycling out together aboard the same Trike! Variety of pedal/ no-pedal/ electric-assist trikes available.
