Do you know how to save a life?
Marta Casimiro founded Hand on Heart First Aid Training after resuscitating her own Father in 2018. As a registered nurse who specialised in Resuscitation and Cardiac Rehabilitation Marta has over 13 years experience working in an Acute NHS Trust. Still, she never imagined she would have to use her expertise to save her own Father, an experience she describes as ‘the biggest achievement in my life’. Since then her vision has been to teach others essential life saving skills.
Marta’s mission is to deliver high-quality First Aid training that empowers you to manage a medical emergency. She wants every individual to be equipped with the skills and confidence to provide first aid and has developed a range of courses for parents, grandparents, care givers and organisations to give everyone the skills they need to save a loved one, should the need arise.
The First Aid Playgroup really is an innovative way to bring training to those who may need it most – and make it fun and accessible. Marta knows one of the biggest barriers for parents to actually booking a First Aid course, is not having the time. So she began to wonder what it would look like if First Aid Training looked more like a playdate….and the First Aid Playgroup was born! The 3 or 4 week sessions mean you don’t have to worry about childcare. You bring your little one with you and they can play and socialise while you learn essential life saving skills. You can also connect with other people and share the wins and woes of parenthood.
