Birdworld is anticipating a summer of fun with the upcoming opening of its eagerly anticipated outdoor play area.
As the nation’s largest bird park continues to spread its wings it has reached the halfway point of its multi-million-pound redevelopment plans, which will also include a 17,000 square-foot indoor play area due to open later in the year.
To celebrate this milestone, Birdworld has released previously unseen CGI video fly-throughs showcasing what the innovative new outdoor play zone will look like.
Swooping through the trees, the camera takes the viewer on a journey around Birdworld’s Adventure Play, which is designed to blend seamlessly with the natural landscape.
Using the woodland to create an immersive environment amongst the trees, the play area features bird nest towers, connecting bridges, and a spiral clamber net, allowing children to explore as if they were part of the woodland.
“With the outdoor play zone set to open this summer, it really feels like our long-awaited dream is finally becoming a reality,” said Matt Hill, Birdworld Director.
“Summer is always our busiest time of year, and we hope to inspire a new wave of visitors while continuing to delight our loyal returning guests. The new play area has been designed around our ‘naturally playful’ theme, encouraging children to explore, imagine and connect with the natural world through fun, interactive features.
“We’re also looking ahead to the grand opening of our indoor play area later in the year – another key milestone in our wider redevelopment plans. It’s a hugely exciting time, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone who’s been part of our journey so far.”
