Quiz enthusiasts are invited to put their knowledge to the test at the Haywards Heath Mayor’s Charity Quiz Night on Friday 16 October, with teams going head-to-head for the chance to be crowned Quiz Champion – all while raising money for a fantastic local cause.
Hosted by Haywards Heath Town Council at the Town Hall, the evening will bring together friends, family and local residents for a fun night of trivia, friendly competition and community spirit.
Teams of up to six people can enjoy a welcome drink on arrival and a charcuterie board to share at their table, both included as part of the £15 ticket. Dietary requirements can be accommodated. All proceeds from the evening will support the Mayor of Haywards Heath’s chosen charity for 2026, Kangaroos Mid Sussex.
Kangaroos supports children and adults with learning disabilities across Mid Sussex, providing activities, opportunities and support that help people develop their skills, build friendships, increase independence and enjoy fulfilling lives. The charity also provides valuable support to families and carers, helping to create a more inclusive community where everyone can take part.
Alongside the quiz, there will be plenty to enjoy throughout the evening. A licensed bar will be available, offering a selection of drinks to enjoy while teams battle it out over the questions. There will also be a raffle with a selection of exciting prizes up for grabs, all kindly donated by local organisations in support of the Mayor’s charity fundraising. The generous contributions from local organisations will help make the evening extra special while raising even more funds for Kangaroos Mid Sussex.
The Mayor of Haywards Heath, Cllr Duncan Pascoe, said: “Last year’s Quiz Night was a fantastic evening, bringing people together for some friendly competition while raising an incredible amount for charity. We’re really excited to see the quiz return this year and are looking forward to another brilliant night of fun, laughter and fundraising in support of Kangaroos. I’d encourage everyone to get a team together and join us!”
The Mayor’s Charity Quiz Night takes place on Friday 16 October at Haywards Heath Town Hall, 40 Boltro Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 1BA. Doors open at 6pm, with the quiz starting at 6.45pm.
