Dive into a high-octane, story-led, contemporary big top experience with world-class acrobatic performances, an international cast centred around Hope and Community
The Revel Puck Circus, the East London-born contemporary circus company known for its high-energy, inclusive big top shows, is bringing its latest production A Glimmer Daze Gambit to Victoria Gardens in Brighton for a two-week run from Thursday 27 August to Sunday 6 September 2026.
A seaside city favourite for culture lovers and families alike, Brighton will host the Revel Puck Big Top as part of the company’s first-ever large-scale touring season, a major UK journey bringing world-class contemporary circus into the heart of local communities.
A joyful big top spectacular for families and arts lovers
A Glimmer Daze Gambit is a show about hope, arrival and community. Stella and Kit have finally arrived at their dream home – a circus. Desperate to join the troupe, they’ve brought everything they think they might need. Having never seen a circus before, they’ve had to imagine what might be of use.
Through a journey of discovery, they realise that to fail is to learn, that community is forged in the mistakes, and that to care about something is as important as the thing itself.
Presented in Revel Puck’s signature style, high-spectacle, largely non-verbal storytelling through mime, clowning and acrobatics, the show is designed to be welcoming for a wide range of audiences, including families and first-time circus-goers.
What to expect in the ring
Inside the Revel Puck Big Top, audiences can expect a proper parade of skills, including:
- Teeterboard
- Aerial cradle
- Straps
- Cloud swing
- Bounce juggling
- Icarian acrobatics
- Group acrobatics
Plus a Revel Puck original that has become a signature crowd moment: the Rola Globe, a giant globe topped with a square platform, where nine performers balance together in a breath-holding feat of teamwork, timing and nerve.
The cast brings together a collective of grassroots London-based and international circus artists, including performers from Argentina, the USA, Ethiopia and Canada.
With a limited two-week run in the heart of the city, Brighton audiences are encouraged to book early. Tickets and information are available at https://www.tixr.com/groups/revelpuckcircus , with a range of performances across the Bank Holiday weekend and into the first week back at school.
