Shrewsbury Folk Festival is where world-class music meets laid-back riverside vibes. Every August Bank Holiday, it brings together a brilliant mix of folk, world music and Americana, all wrapped up in top-notch production and one of the friendliest atmospheres you’ll find anywhere on the festival circuit.
Family Festival
From our wee folkies right through to teenagers, we’ve got a family festival for everyone!
The Pandemonium! (5+) and Wee Folkies (under 5s) tents are a hive of activity over the weekend. Music, dance, crafts, storytelling, drama and lots more fun in their dedicated zone in the main arena. Situated close to the Village Stage, we’re perfectly positioned for parents and children to have fun together.
We are safely tucked away in a dedicated area of the site, but close enough to the main action to be a real part of the event. You can book a place for our workshops or drop-in and get creative in the arts zone, either way there is something for everyone.
The Wee Folkies is a drop-in area. Parents are welcome to join in with the activities or cosy down for feeding time.
At Refolkus, you’ll find the perfect space for 11 to 20-year-olds to get creative through music, dance and more. Then there’s circus skills, henna tattooing and a whole host of other fun activities in The Reef, their own space to get away and spend time with meet their mates instead of the family!
Shrewsbury really is a festival for all the family, no matter how old you are.
