What’s Coming to Kissimmee in 2022

A new year means more exciting adventures are coming to Kissimmee and Central Florida. Kissimmee is ready to welcome returning and first-time visitors to the destination in 2022, giving families an experience that could never be forgotten. From exciting events to new galactic adventures, here’s what visitors can experience in Kissimmee next year.




Peppa Pig Theme Park: This all-new theme park is set to open 24 February, 2022. Peppa Pig Theme Park will feature six rides, six themed playscapes, a water play area and even more. The theme park will open as a Certified Autism Center and has accessible rides for wheelchairs.


Walt Disney World Resort: Walt Disney World Resort continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary, an 18-month event bringing new attractions, night time spectaculars, and other magical experiences. One of the most highly anticipated new experiences will debut in 2022 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be Epcot’s first “other-world” showcase pavilion. The family-friendly adventure features a new storytelling coaster that rotates 360 degrees to focus guests on the action, including the first reverse launch on a Disney coaster.


SeaWorld Parks & Resorts: SeaWorld Orlando is debuting its first launch coaster, Ice Breaker, featuring four airtime filled launches, both backward and forward, culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida – a 93-foot-tall spike with 100-degree angle. Aquatica Orlando is bringing an all-new water slide in the Spring of 2022. Reed Plunge will have over 330 feet of fiberglass, and guests will slide past a vibrant array of marine life in the new dynamic habitat.


LEGOLAND Florida Resort: Visitors will set sail in 2022 in LEGOLAND’s newest ride, Pirate River Quest. This attraction will take guests on a journey through murky waters to retrieve a lost treasure. LEGOLAND Florida Resort is also featuring a variety of events in 2022. The events include PirateFest in January, LEGO NINJAGO Days in May, AWE-SUMMER in June and July, Heroes Weekend in September, Brick or Treat in October, and Holidays at LEGOLAND in November.


Wild Florida Airboat, Gator Park & Drive-thru Safari: Two new very special heavy guests are coming to Wild Florida in 2022. Visitors can expect to see two rhinoceroses at the Drive-Thru Safari by Spring. Wild Florida is also adding special celebrations for its visitors, Gator Week happening from 23-28 May 2022, and Sloth Day on 20 October, 2022.


Cirque Du Soleil’s Drawn to Life: Recently opened at Disney Springs, Drawn to Life is a first-of-its-kind creative collaboration between iconic memory-makers Cirque du Soleil and Disney, featuring 10 distinct acrobatic performances. The show is a live acrobatic journey telling the story of Julie, a determined girl who discovers an unexpected gift left by her Disney Animator father: an unfinished animation.




The Promenade at Sunset Walk is bringing exciting additions in 2022. New locations include Cowboy Chicken, Naples Soap Company, BR 77 Brazilian Steak House.



Embassy Suites by Hilton-Orlando Sunset Walk: Coming to Sunset Walk Fall 2022, the new Embassy Suites-Orlando Sunset Walk will offer exceptional holiday condominiums featuring a sophisticated contemporary design and the finest in resort amenities. Among them, the Oasis Beach Club with a beach bar and grill, a fitness centre, indoor/outdoor restaurant and lounge where guests can enjoy daily complimentary breakfast and happy hour.


Ette Hotel: Out to redefine the luxury hospitality space, Ette Hotel will feature a sophisticated look and feel with a focus on high-touch service and personalized experiences. Coming to Kissimmee in 2022, the hotel features 126 rooms with state-of-the-art amenities like their 24 hour In-Room dining, spa and gym. Chef Akira Back brings his touch to “LIPA” rooftop lounge, and more.


Formosa Valley: Kissimmee’s newest luxury resort is just minutes away from attractions such as Sea World, Universal Orlando Resort, as well as restaurants and shops. The four and five-bedroom villas are a fit for families of all sizes with a modern, yet chic design guaranteed to accommodate everyone’s needs. Visitors will find indoor-outdoor concepts that include a large living room integrated into the dining and kitchen areas, opening onto a terrace with a private pool. Guests can expect movie-character themed rooms to keep the joy of Kissimmee inside and outside the home.



Universal Orlando Resort: Universal’s Mardi Gras returns to Universal Orlando Resort in 2022 beginning February 5 through April 24. A family-friendly version of the iconic New Orleans celebration, featuring a night time parade, star-studded live concerts (both on select nights) and authentic Cajun-style cuisine from New Orleans and additional dishes inspired by diverse tastes and flavours from around the world at locations throughout the park.


Silver Spurs Arena: Join the tradition by seeing the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi, Silver Spurs Rodeo, held from 18-20 February, 2022, and 3-4 June 2022. Plus, enjoy the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade in Downtown St. Cloud on Saturday, 12 February, 2022.


Promenade at Sunset Walk: On 23 January 2022, Pets on the Promenade will return, bigger than ever. Guests can enter their furry friends in a Cutest Pet Contest, get pet portraits taken by a professional photographer, enjoy a “Yappy Hour” at various tenants and a sidewalk sale of pet products. In Spring 2022, the Promenades “Best of” Dining Festival will return.
