Arundel Castle is delighted to announce that its Plant Fair, in collaboration with the Plant Fairs Roadshow, is returning this year on Sunday, 19th<\/sup> April 2026.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The Plant Fairs Roadshow is a collective of specialist growers, award-winning nurseries and garden equipment suppliers who organise memorable gardening events at some of the leading gardens and venues in South East England. The nurseries offer a wide range of plants, including cottage-garden favourites, shade-loving plants, alpines, trees, shrubs, succulents, and more, along with a diverse array of interesting and unusual varieties that are often hard to find.<\/p>

The event, which will take place from 10am-5pm in the stunning castle grounds, enables visitors to purchase locally cultivated plants from knowledgeable growers, as well as get free advice directly from the growers themselves and the Plant Fair Doctor. Visitors can also take the opportunity to explore Arundel Castle\u2019s gardens, which won the prestigious Historic Houses Garden of the Year Award in 2025 in recognition of their outstanding horticultural and public appeal.<\/p>

Martin Duncan, Head Gardener at Arundel Castle, commented:<\/p>

“The Plant Fairs offer an excellent chance for visitors to wander through the picturesque gardens and grounds of the castle while uncovering fascinating plants to elevate their own outdoor spaces. Whether they’re seasoned gardeners or novices, the fair caters to all, providing something enriching for every attendee.”<\/p>

Over 20 exhibitors will be taking part in the 2026 Arundel Castle Plant Fair, including Bearded Gnome Nursery, a new micro nursery situated on the Knepp Estate, specialising in exotic and sub-tropical plants; and Daisy Roots, a small, independent nursery growing a wide range of perennials and ornamental grasses. Joining them are Grow Local Sussex, based near Lewes, which grows and sells herbs and heritage\/heirloom vegetable plants; and LBD Plants, which has over 25 years\u2019 growing experience, including exhibiting at RHS Chelsea.<\/p>

Long Acre Plants will be showcasing its woodland and shade-loving plants, while Ottershaw Cacti, the proud holder of over 40 RHS gold medals, will be on hand to answer all queries about succulents. Plant Heritage Sussex will also be in attendance, raising awareness of the preservation and conservation of plants and trees, having saved nearly 100,000 plants as National Collections across the UK.<\/p>

Other exhibitors include Miles Japanese Maples, Branshill Plants, Flower and Earth, Gransfield Plants, Phoenix Perennial Plants, Plantbase, Priorswood Clematis, Roseland House Nursery, Silverdale Tropics, Southon Plants, The Potting Shed, Tom Critchley Garden Supports, WOOL SHrED (local, sustainable wool mulch and other products), Australasian Plant Society, and ZC Succulents.\u00a0<\/p>

Access to the Plant Fair is included in the standard garden or castle entry tickets, which start at \u00a317 for adults and \u00a38 for children.
