Formally laid out on grand scale with long vistas. C18 walled garden with borders in apricot, orange, scarlet and crimson. Topiary<br \/>\nwalk, pleached lime all\u00e9e, tulip tree avenue, rose borders<br \/>\nand vegetable garden with trained fruit. Turf amphitheatre, autumn shrubbery, yew cloisters and jungle walk. Featured in Gardens Illustrated (Dec 2024) and previously in Country Life. Wheelchair access to the whole garden with one step that can be avoided. Accessible WC.<\/p>\n<p>Occasionally garden openings are cancelled please always check on the NGS <a href=\"https:\/\/ngs.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> before visiting a garden.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors The National Garden Scheme have donated over \u00a377.8 million to nursing and health charities and in 2025 made an annual donation of over \u00a33.8 million. The core beneficiaries include Carers Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinson\u2019s UK and The Queen\u2019s Institute of Community Nursing.<\/p>\n<p>The National Garden Scheme doesn\u2019t just open beautiful gardens for charity \u2013 they are passionate about the physical and mental health benefits of gardens too.
