{"id":32028,"date":"2026-04-07T12:30:33","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T12:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefamilygrapevine.co.uk\/west-sussex\/?post_type=event&#038;p=32028"},"modified":"2026-04-07T12:30:33","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T12:30:33","slug":"tree-festival-2026","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/thefamilygrapevine.co.uk\/west-sussex\/event\/tree-festival-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Tree Festival 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpresussex.org.uk\/tf26\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Tree Festival<\/a> \u2013 a celebration of trees in Sussex \u2013 is back!<\/p>\n<p>The festival, taking place across Sussex in May and June, includes guided walks, storytelling and creative workshops.<br \/>\nHighlights include a family-friendly talk and walk with renowned Sussex naturalist Michael Blencowe, a Forest School taster session in Steyning and a Tribute to the Trees event in Preston Park, Brighton.<br \/>\nThere will also be exhibitions at Worthing Museum and Hastings Museum and Art Gallery \u2013 plus the return of the I Love This Tree Because\u2026photo competition.<br \/>\nCPRE Sussex director Paul Steedman said: \u201cWe are thrilled to once again offer everyone living in Sussex the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful trees we have on our doorstep. Trees are more than just beautiful \u2013 they provide shelter for wildlife, they help to slow climate change, and they boost our health and wellbeing. I hope everyone will join us for this year\u2019s exciting programme of events.\u201d<br \/>\nThe Tree Festival 2026 is organised by CPRE Sussex, volunteers and local groups. It is sponsored by Rampion Offshore Wind and Bartlett Tree Experts.<br \/>\nThe main events programme starts on 23 May and runs until 7 June.
