A Heartwarming Holiday Treat for All Ages <\/strong><\/h4>

Made in Tunbridge Wells<\/strong><\/p>

Trinity Theatre is decking the halls this December with Nativity! The Musical <\/em>featuring a dazzling local cast and creative team, toe-tapping tunes, and enough Christmas spirit to light up the whole of Tunbridge Wells.<\/p>

Based on the hit 2009 film starring Martin Freeman and adapted by its creator, Debbie Isitt, Nativity! The Musical<\/em> tells the hilarious and heartwarming story of Mr Maddens, his overly enthusiastic classroom assistant Mr Poppy, and a class of underdog pupils trying to stage the best nativity play ever. Get ready for laughter, music, mayhem and all the Christmas sparkle you can handle, with original songs including Sparkle and Shine<\/em>, Nazareth<\/em>, and One Night, One Moment<\/em>.<\/p>

Rehearsals are in full swing, and Trinity Theatre\u2019s Creative Director and Director of the production, Jason Lower<\/strong>, couldn\u2019t be more excited to introduce the talented cast bringing Nativity! The Musical<\/em> to life \u201cI\u2019ve directed many performances at Trinity over the years with Trinity Youth Theatre, so I know just how much young talent we have here in Tunbridge Wells. I knew this would be a fantastic cast, but I\u2019m also thrilled to introduce our adult performers who are incredibly gifted local actors. It\u2019s going to be a wonderful show.\u201d<\/p>

The Stars Bringing the Sparkle<\/strong><\/p>

Gareth Allen (Mr Poppy) <\/strong>is a familiar face on the local stage (Oast Theatre, TWADS and most recently Benedict in Much Ado About Nothing for Sevenoaks Shakespeare) and is joined by his two children in the show making this a true family affair. \u201cThe best part of Nativity! The Musical is to be <\/em>performing with my kids for the first time,\u201d says Gareth.
Favourite part of Christmas? \u201cLeftovers on Boxing Day while watching Elf<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>

Festive joke: Why did the Shetland Pony never sing carols? \u00a0He was a little horse.<\/p>

Ashley Munson (Mr Maddens)<\/strong> is a regular at various local theatres (The Oast, LAMPs, Trinity and Sevenoaks Entertainers and Players).\u00a0 He is finding it difficult to be constantly exasperated and angry as Mr Maddens, although both his children who are also in the show may disagree!

Cheryl-Ann Storer (Jennifer) is a graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and a seasoned performer on many local stages. \u201cMy Christmas essentials? The F trilogy \u2013 Festive Food, Family, and Friends!\u201d<\/p>

Festive joke: What goes Oh, Oh, Oh? Santa Claus walking backwards!<\/p>

\u00a0<\/strong>Phil Burns (Gordon Shakespeare) <\/strong>is usually found directing Trinity Youth Theatre\u2019s Summer Shows, Phil is swapping his director\u2019s chair for the spotlight this Christmas. From dashing princes to tap-dancing crocodiles, Phil\u2019s done it all! Now he\u2019s ready to steal the show as the pompous rival teacher, Gordon Shakespeare.<\/p>

Festive joke: \u201cHow much did Father Christmas pay for his sleigh? Nothing\u2026 it was on the house\u201d<\/p>

Rebecca Clow (Mrs Bevan) <\/strong>attended drama school and recently appeared in Eastenders. Rebecca is also heavily involved with the local theatre scene (TWODs and TTC). \u201cI wanted to be in Nativity! The Musical <\/em>because I love the film and wanted to be involved in what I think is a most unique experience. At times I don’t know who’s having more fun the kids or us adults\u201d.<\/p>

Festive joke: What do you call a snowman with a Sixpack? An abdominal snowman!<\/p>
