Sign up today and take part in a six-mile \u2018Sponsored Bluebell Walk\u2019 <\/strong>in aid of Heart of Kent Hospice on Sunday 4 May 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Returning as headline sponsors for this event will be Kent based med-tech manufacturer Bedfont and their strategic partners NewMed Ltd who together will be joint sponsors for this annual charity event.<\/p>\n

The Sponsored Bluebell Walk will offer a choice of picturesque routes including the longer six-mile ramble which takes in the stunning bluebells in the enchanting woodland on the North Downs.\u00a0 There will also be a route which bypasses the stiles at Lower Dean Farm.\u00a0 A decision on which route to take can be made whilst on the walk. Both routes take walkers amongst the beautiful bluebells and woodland.<\/p>\n

Cold drinks will be on offer at the two-mile mark, four-mile mark and a designated picnic spot. The Field of Memories features at the picnic spot is somewhere to visit and remember a loved one.<\/p>\n

The Bluebell Walk is perfect for all the family and there will also be an additional one-mile route which is perfect for little legs and those who prefer to enjoy a shorter one-mile route.<\/p>\n

All the routes are dog friendly so why not bring your four-legged friends along too.\u00a0 You can even purchase a Heart of Kent Hospice dog bandanas when signing up to take part.<\/p>\n

When buying a fundraising ticket, you are pledging to raise funds for Heart of Kent Hospice, which will help the charity to continue supporting those at the end of their lives and their families. All sponsorship pledges should be sent to the Hospice by Wednesday 4 June 2025.<\/p>\n

The route starts from Harrietsham Village Hall, Church Rd, Harrietsham, Maidstone, Kent ME17 1AP.<\/p>\n

We look forward to participants joining us for a 6-mile walk through stunning scenery, as they cherish the memories of their loved ones. With the unwavering support and generosity of our local community, we are confident that we will achieve our goal of raising \u00a370,000, to enable us to continue providing exceptional care to the growing number of local people who rely on our services.\u201d<\/p>\n

All ages are welcome to take part in the Bluebell Walk but buggies and wheelchairs are not recommended due to uneven terrain and some stiles.\u00a0 Please note if you are bringing along your dog, larger dogs may find it difficult to cross some of the stiles and may therefore need to be carried over.<\/p>\n

Adult fundraising entry with a pledge to raise \u00a350 for Heart of Kent Hospice is \u00a37.50.\u00a0 Children between 2 and 16 are \u00a35 and under 2\u2019s are free.\u00a0 A family ticket is \u00a320 with a pledge to raise \u00a3100.<\/p>\n

The one-mile family walk (you cannot see the bluebells on this route) with a pledge to raise \u00a320 is \u00a35 for adults. Children between 2 and 16 are \u00a35 and under 2\u2019s free.\u00a0 A family ticket is \u00a315 with a pledge to raise \u00a340<\/p>\n

Walkers will set off in 30 minutes waves which can be selected when booking. Waves run from 8:00am until 10:00am.<\/p>\n

Heart of Kent Hospice has been providing free, compassionate, end-of-life care to people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones in Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling and the surrounding towns and villages for the past 34 years.<\/p>\n

The Hospice has built an excellent reputation within the local community for the quality of its care, which has been further endorsed by the Care Quality Commission who awarded us with an overall rating of \u2018Outstanding\u2019 following an inspection in February 2017.<\/p>\n

Our vision is for everyone living with a terminal illness in our community to achieve the best quality of life. We are committed to achieving this by enabling them to live in comfort, with independence and dignity to the end of their lives, and to support those closest to them.<\/p>\n

Last year the Hospice cared for over 2,000 patients and their families in their own homes or at our Aylesford-based Hospice. Our charity needs to raise \u00a36.6 million to deliver all the Hospices services, and we depend heavily on our loyal community of supporters, whose generous donations and fundraising activities raise money for us every year.<\/p>\n
