Sam Spiralli the Seriously Nutty Squirrel, is the latest children\u2019s book released by author Roy Bradshaw from Madeley in Telford. It is the ninth of his published children\u2019s books \u2013 this one, as are all of his books, is educational in a non-patronizing way and is humorous throughout.<\/p>

With teaching experience in the secondary and primary sector and having a former engineering career in industry, Roy decided it was time to write an amusing story to complement his action-based and problem-solving adventures apparent throughout his other eight books.<\/p>

\u201cInspiration for \u2018Sam Spiralli the Seriously Nutty Squirrel\u2019 \u2013 a red squirrel, came to mind when watching a documentary about the plight of native red squirrels in the UK and the challenges they face from invasive grey squirrels.\u201d Roy said.<\/p>

Alongside Roy\u2019s other releases: Konk the White Crocodile, Marti-Rye the Mole, Two Mr B\u2019s Busy-Bea stories and four Barley\u2019s Biscuit stories, Sam Spiralli the Seriously Nutty Squirrel is available now through his website: www.roybradshaw.co.uk<\/a><\/p>

\u201cIt\u2019s not that easy \u2013 especially when resisting the assistance of AI, to add a smidgen of education within the story whilst maintaining its humorous nature.\u201d Roy says.<\/p>

\u201cSam\u2019s peaceful life is disrupted rather abruptly by a bunch of grey intruders intent on pinching \u2018his\u2019 acorns.<\/p>

\u201cHe\u2019s not the most clever of squirrels \u2013 especially when it comes to having ideas to resolve a problem \u2013 and this hindrance builds his frustration.<\/p>

\u201cA couple of his friends come up with plans to help Sam get rid of his problem without much success, merely resulting in more misery for Sam. That is until a worldly-wise friend from the past turns up!\u201d Roy added.<\/p>

\"IllustrationSuperbly illustrated by Lisa Williams<\/a>, Sam Spiralli the Seriously Nutty Squirrel is published through Media & You<\/a> and is intended to appeal to young readers between six and nine years of age. The title compliments Roy\u2019s eight books already published: Barley\u2019s Biscuit:<\/strong> Pattern\u2019s Rock Quarry, A Paddle and the Golden Glow, Pipit\u2019s Perilous Plight and Ghostly Whispers on Wenlock Edge. Mr. B\u2019s Busy-Bea:<\/strong> The Ritzzz Hotel and The Bee Bea Sea, Marti-Rye the Mole Has a Shiny Week and Konk the White Crocodile. They all remain popular.<\/p>

\u201cThere are eight more stories in my Barley\u2019s Biscuit series I want to publish and another four more Busy-Bea\u2019s”, and Roy continued:<\/p>

\u201cAlthough the releases are very different types of adventure stories, Sam Spirally is not only fun and adventurous to read but, similar to Konk the White Crocodile, is also an activities book that can be used for model-making workshops in schools, libraries and other venues. The book has a line drawing and 3D model net of Sam Spiralli at the end free to copy and use. I will also trial this release as an audio book through Amazon using the amazing voice of Rebecca Courtney<\/a>, the actor behind the character Laa Laa from the children\u2019s television series of Teletubbies.\u201d<\/p>

Roy is available for workshops, including reading\/writing and 2D\/3D model making utilising any of his books, and would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in arranging those \u2013 again this can be arranged easily through his website or by phone. Arts and Craft fayres, fundraising events, market stalls at carnivals and other similar events are also areas where Roy is happy to ply his trade.<\/p>
