Over the course of the exhibition, hundreds of visitors stopped to admire the varied collection and place their bids, with 10 pieces of artwork ultimately sold.<\/p><p>The collection featured a wide range of styles and subjects, including striking abstracts, beautiful florals, animals, landscapes and well-loved local scenes such as Victoria Park. With starting bids from just \u00a315, the auction gave residents the opportunity to take home a unique piece of locally created art while supporting a meaningful cause.<\/p><p>All funds raised will go towards the Town Mayor\u2019s Charity of the Year, the Dame Vera Lynn Children\u2019s Charity, which supports children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments, helping them and their families access specialist support and services.<\/p><p>The auction formed part of the Mayor\u2019s wider fundraising efforts during the year and also celebrated the wealth of artistic talent within the local community.<\/p><p>Artwork was generously donated by local artists Brenda Barratt, Louise Henton, Brett Hudson, Chris Jarvest, Hilary Kennett, Karen Lorenz, Heather Matthews, Iona Moran, Viv Northorpe, Wendy Rowark and Maureen Welfare.<\/p><p>Cllr Duncan Pascoe, Mayor of Haywards Heath, said: <em>\u201cI would like to say a huge thank you to the talented local artists who donated their work, and to everyone who visited the exhibition and placed bids.
