Lindfield Arts  Festival are delighted to welcome Circus Brighton to this year’s street festival.

Opening the Festival will be stilt walkers, throughout the day you will see circus performers based by the Red Lion  alongside a classic car show and street plays, dancing exhibitions and buskers.  Come along and try your hand at circus skills and watch the scheduled performances.

Lindfield Arts Festival is particularly interested in the development of circus skills for young and old and will offer the community the chance to try out tightrope walking – good for balance and co-ordination, juggling, hula hooping, plate spinning and more.  There will also be a ballooning workshop and a wandering balloon artist to enthral you.

Graffiti in the High Street I hear you say! Yes, for Lindfield Arts Festival we are delighted to welcome back Tom Goulden, Can Control Team to run a competition and some workshops on Saturday 17th September 2016.

The competition is for local community groups to graffiti spray and decorate a panel. The panels will then be used to adorn the low-loader which will accompany the procession from Haywards Heath Railway Station on Sunday 18th September celebrating 175 years of the railway coming to the area. The competition will be judged by the High Sheriff of West Sussex, Mark Spofforth.

The workshops will be available for 10 year olds and over; you will however need to register in advance and there will be a charge for materials. You will need to register in advance.

Lindfield Arts Festival Team are inviting local groups to enter the graffiti competition, however if you are a member of a special group and would like to take part please e-mail[email protected].

On Saturday night you may be spoilt for choice; booked and confirmed at the moment is burlesque dancing in the Bent Arms pub, a sophisticated concert in the URC with Mid Sussex Sinfonia and Lucy Cooper performing in the Stand Up Inn. What will you chose?
