Borde Hill Garden do an absolutely brilliant job of making each of their holiday trails different; with an exciting new theme each time, a new booklet to complete and different puzzles to solve around the trail. This Easter Holiday the theme is Pirates – and the treasure is…well you’ll have to find that out for yourself! Most children love a map to follow, and the Easter Island Map is a great one with ‘Tumbledown Towers’, ‘The Cannon Ball Cafe’ and ‘Smugglers Cove’ just a few of the places you need to move through on your quest to find the members of the pirate crew and their friends, and discover the words to unlock your prize. The puzzle booklet never disappoints and we always finish off the activities at home if we haven’t been able to do them all on the way round; so much effort goes into the activity booklets each time and we love the illustrations. The children always really look forward to a good few goes on the zip wire in the adventure playground at the end of each trail too.

The Gardeners’ Retreat Cafe is open for take away food and drinks and so is Cafe Elvira, which will be serving alfresco lunches from 15th April.

Bookings for garden entrance and the Pirate Trail must be made in advance online.
