New for 2017, Drusillas Park has just opened Go Safari! – a trio of African-themed attractions and rides which are perfect for children of all ages. Everyone loves a miniature train, and the Safari Express gives visitors a chance to take the weight off their feet and tour the park from the comfort of one of the brightly decorated carriages. The Safari Express takes passengers past the very enjoyable and slightly spooky Eden’s Eye Maze, past (but not too close to) the Get Wet play area, past the fabulous outdoor play and indoor soft play areas, right next to the camel enclosure and even past a roaring lion!
The Hippopotobus is an exciting, funfair-style ride for young children, without being a white knuckle ride, and for anyone wanting to feel the wind in their hair the Flying Cheetahs will whisk you round and round, and if you want to try to see over the rooftops you can push the boost button and get a little bit higher.
The zoo-related activities on offer are very well-researched and the free booklets which accompany the tour of the zoo will appeal to children who want to see every animal and try every challenge and then take away a memento of what they saw and did on their day out.
Drusillas Park is a fantastic place to go for a birthday treat, a bank holiday weekend outing, or for any special occasion.
