Ariel opens new after school drama classes in Burgess Hill for young performers

This January Ariel is pleased to announce the opening of a new after school drama class for 4 – 7 year olds.  The classes will encourage young children to develop, grow and explore through drama and performing arts and is open to all.

The new Friday sessions, which take place at St Andrews Church Hall, Cants Lane, Burgess Hill, are packed full of drama games, activities, music, movement and singing activities. Students will be able to express themselves and gain acting and teamwork skills as they enjoy performing. Throughout the session children are encouraged to take an active role in creating drama, allowing them to be creative and increasing their confidence.

Drama classes provide a great opportunity for building life skills such as listening, public speaking, collaboration and creative thinking and provide a great environment for making new friends.

Ariel Director Nicci Hopson said ‘We are delighted to be able to offer after school classes.  Our five Saturday Sussex Academies are doing really well but there are some children who just cannot make a commitment to a Saturday.  On many occasions we have had to disappoint parents, so we are hoping that these weekday classes will be really popular.’

The new classes will be headed up by West End performer, singing teacher and dancer Megan Ford, who is also the Principal of Ariel’s Steyning Academy. Megan has a lifelong passion for performing and trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts.

Free trials are now available, no experience is required and everyone is welcome to book call 01444 250407 or visit Classes cost £6 per session and registration commences at 4.00pm, with classes finishing at 5.00pm.
