Seven Sisters Archaeology Tours, Nr Birling Gap
25 & 30 September
The hilltop enclosure of Belle Tout, on top of the Seven Sisters, is an archaeological mystery and could be one of the UK’s most important Neolithic monuments. A dig this September aims to uncover these secrets before they erode into the sea. Archaeologist Tom Dommett said: “we are using new technology, such as Lidar, alongside onsite excavations, to bring to light one of most ancient and fascinating archaeological sites in Sussex”. See the archaeologists in action with tours at Belle Tout, on the cliffs near Birling Gap, on 25 and 30 September and find out how the dig progresses at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/birling-gap-and-the-seven-sisters
