Visit the Museum on Sunday 11th October and see hundreds of cars, motorbikes, pushbikes, buses, commercials and military vehicles in our great end of season extravaganza! This really is a heritage vehicle event not to be missed and with more exhibitors booked in that ever before, we expect a fantastic day.
Amberley Museum’s Autumn Industrial Trains event, primarily aimed at the enthusiast, also falls on Sunday 11th October.
Much of the industrial loco collection will be out and about, and down at the De Witt Kilns we should have the standard gauge Simplex 4wDM loco ‘Burt’ in action at various times. A conducted ‘Behind the scenes tour’ will take place at 2pm, for about an hour.
We also offer one day ‘Steam Footplate Experiences’ through the year, so why not ask one of our railway volunteers about which dates might suit you?
Amberley Museum is a 36 acre site set in the South Downs National Park dedicated to industrial heritage, with communications and electricity exhibition halls, working printshop, stationary engines, lime kilns and more. Visitors can take free rides on the narrow gauge railway or historic bus.
The Museum is home to a variety of traditional craftspeople, such as the wheelwrights and potters, with a café, gift shop and nature trails. We open from March to October and hold many events ranging from children’s activity days to classic vehicle shows and the ever popular Santa Specials. Full details at www.amberleymuseum.co.uk.
