Thanks to the generosity of the ABF Crawley and Mid Sussex Hub president, Andrew John Stephenson Clarke, this event will take place at Borde Hill Garden near Haywards Heath.The band will perform from 7:30pm on the South Lawn, with the salute being taken by The Rt. Hon. Sir Nicholas Soames MP.
The event opens at 6:30 pm when ticket holders may enjoy a glass of wine on the South Lawn followed by ‘Beating the Retreat’. Tickets are £17.50 per person from the shop on the day or day before, or £15 if booked online before 15th July from www.bordehill.co.uk/events .
Remember to bring your own seating / cushion / rugs etc.
If you are unable to attend in the evening you may also visit Borde Hill Garden and as a Garden visitor included in the Garden entry price you may watch the band rehearsing on the South Lawn between 4pm and 5:30pm.

Borde Hill Garden is English Heritage Listed Grade II*, set in 200 acres of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with spectacular vistas across the Ouse Valley Viaduct. The Garden was created in 1892 by the current owner’s great grandfather and plant expedition sponsor, Colonel Stephenson R Clarke. Thanks to his foresight and hard work this impressive estate boasts a botanically rich and nationally important collection of trees and shrubs; and is highly regarded as one of England’s ‘great gardens’. The numerous exotic trees, ponds, old potting sheds, Italian and Rose Gardens all provide the ideal setting for exhibiting art.
The Garden and Parkland are open to the public 10am to 6pm (or dusk if earlier) on:
– Daily from 28th March – 13th September
– Each Sunday in September and October
– Halloween Week (23rd October – 1st November)
Entry price is just £8.20 per adult (£9.02 gift aid), £7.65 concession and £5.10 per child. A Day
Family ticket is £22 (2+2) or £25 (2+3). Friends of Borde Hill Garden may visit all season.
