Kate Hamer (The Girl in the Red Coat) and Alex Hourston (In My House) were both on the Observer’s list of ‘the most promising new authors’ for 2015 and they will be joining us to talk about their books.

We have spoken word poet Mohamed ‘Mo Rhymes’ Mohamed from southwest London; Akila Richards a writer, poet and spoken word artist of Liberian and German heritage whose work has appeared in several anthologies; and Bristol-based writer, social entrepreneur and DJ Roger Griffith whose recently published his memoir documenting the experiences of his parents’ generation arriving from the Caribbean to help rebuild the ‘Motherland’ after World War II. The event is being produced by Amy Zamarripa Solis a Mexican-American writer and cultural producer based in Brighton.
