Kids Run Free-launching in Effingham

Kids Run Free-launching in Effingham

On Saturday, 7th May national children’s charity Kids Run Free is launching their newest weekend morning running event at King George V Playing Fields in Effingham. One of our experienced Race Directors  Juliet Howes, who  until recently jointly ran our KRF RIchmond event  has just moved to the area and was keen to offer the Kids Run Free model to families in Effingham. The event will start at 9am but please arrive at 8.45am for warm-ups. The Mayor, Councillor Nikki Nelson Smith and local MP Sir Paul Beresford  have been invited to attend.

After this initial launch date, these popular events will run on the first Saturday of every month at 9am and are accessible to children of all abilities. There will be individual races for each age category with distances ranging from 50m up to 5km and there are free gifts to collect with every 8 events attended. So whether your child is a budding Olympic athlete or is just finding their running legs, there’s something to suit.

The Kids Run Free mission is to create fun, sustainable running opportunities for 0-16-year-olds, igniting their passion for sport and physical activity and allowing them to become healthier, happier, more confident children.

It’s completely free to take part you just need to register at
