Introducing Bia Codex – A Review

The Codex Bia Nourishing Facial Oil is vegan, 98% organic, 100% natural and is packaged in an understated pale green recyclable glass container within a cardboard outer tube – so as it says on the label it is ‘Seriously Sustainable’. Add to that the fact that the glass bottle has a very nifty and sleek built-in pipette which is activated as you undo and retighten the lid for slurping up the lovely silky, hydrating, woody smelling facial oil and you have the complete package; ethics, aesthetics, technology and a product which smells great, smooths on easily, absorbs quickly and is a real treat for your skin. A little goes a long way, but I have been very careful not to waste a drop…

Which is more than I managed with the Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash which I put into our shower cubicle so that I could use it to gently exfoliate my face and neck each morning. I had not been trying it out for very long before one of my children said that they didn’t know what it was for, but they had been using it on their tummy and their feet and it smelt really nice…The exfoliating wash is also vegan and ‘Seriously Sustainable’ and is packaged in a pale green sugarcane airless tube which I have discovered, after a bit of googling, is recyclable when empty and clean.

Introducing the vegan, organic Codex range, which is newly on board with Dermoi!

Bia Codex Facial Oil – a lightweight and detoxing blend of oils. These oils support all skin types and conditions. It contains natural sources of vitamins A, C, D, E, and F, and essential fatty acids to support skin cell membranes, detox pores, and provide antioxidant protection.

Recognised by the National Psoriasis Foundation, the Codex Beauty Bia Facial Oil is clinically proven to increase skin hydration by 168%. As well as this, findings show it reduces trans epidermal water loss by 11%, reduces desquamation by 43%, and reduces excess sebum by 28% in 28 days.

Bia Codex Exfoliating Wash – delicately cleanses, soothes and softens rough, tired, uneven skin. It does this by physically (but gently!) exfoliating with natural grains, while feeding skin with castor oil, milk thistle and elderflower. Steeped in science and powered by plants, Codex Beauty%  Labs offers the highest quality ‘biotech beauty’, which begs the question: what is biotech? It’s an area of biology that uses living organisms – like plants – to develop these hard-working, results-driven products.
