There will be plenty to keep everyone entertained at Ascot Racecourse this spring with the first family day of
2024, featuring an exciting appearance at intervals from beloved children’s book character the Gruffalo. The
Spring Family Raceday returns on Sunday 24th March with exhilarating racing and an impressive range of
entertainment for kids, parents, and grandparents alike. Racegoers can look forward to a dynamic race card
as well as a host of other countryside-themed attractions.
Ascot Racecourse’s family days have earned themselves a reputation for being unrivalled and the ultimate
quintessentially English day out with first-class facilities. Children, who receive free entry with a paying adult,
can participate in a wide range of attractions within the Queen Anne Enclosure. Most notable is the
opportunity for a meet and greet with the Gruffalo himself, guaranteed to leave smiles all around. Arts and
crafts and film screenings in The Pavilion, as well as balloon modelling, face painting, and a climbing wall, will
complete the perfect day out. From tots to teens, there is something for everyone.
Alongside the host of activities on offer, action awaits on the course as the 2023/24 Jumps season comes to
a thrilling close with a varied and competitive seven race card. Attendees can look forward to a high-value
juvenile hurdle, which often features runners from the Cheltenham Festival, and give a hearty cheer for some
old favourites during the Veterans’ Chase.
With free admission for children, as well as kids’ meals priced at just £5, Ascot’s Spring Family Raceday is an
affordable and fun intergenerational day out, which promises to bring everyone together and create
unforgettable family memories.
