Building on the success of the Guildford Theatre School and the Guildford Summer Youth Projects at The Electric Theatre, and in response to overwhelming demand from parents and participants, local husband and wife team Sean and Anna McNamara are launching exciting new classes at GLive from September!
Offering small class sizes, the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications and regular public performances the Guildford Theatre School will ensure that your child is set to succeed.
Run by local, professionally trained choreographers, actors, musical directors and teachers, the GLive school will provide additional fun filled classes in Jazz, Singing and Drama for all abilities each Saturday for the young people of Guildford age 8 to 17 years old, to compliment the existing school that operates from the Trinity Centre on Guildford’s High Street.
Founding principal Anna McNamara says “In 2008 we established the highly successful, sell out Guildford Summer Youth Project in association with The Electric Theatre. Each year parents and children alike asked us if we ran a weekly school, so in 2010 we founded the Guildford Theatre School. We are very excited that all of our existing classes are now full with waiting lists and are just delighted to be taking up residence at GLive to meet this demand!”.
“All our teachers believe passionately in the pursuit of excellence. We are local, we are experienced performers and teachers and we love theatre!”
Anna explains, “We know without a doubt that through application and commitment an individual can achieve extraordinary things. At the Guildford Theatre School we want each child to be the very best that they can be.”
