Phillipa Hogan’s School of Dance is based at St Hilary’s School in Godalming. Girls and Boys may start Ballet from age 2½ and they are encouraged to enjoy dance through the use of imaginative and creative stories and movement relative to their age group.

Ballet classes are accompanied by excellent pianists so that musicality and rhythm is an integral part of the class.

As children progress, initial ballet steps are carefully introduced so that by the time they reach the age of 4 or 5, children are already very familiar with work that enables them to go on to reach a high standard of classical ballet as they begin the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus classes. Children can also take classes in ISTD Tap, Modern and Street Dance.

As children move to higher grades talented pupils are nurtured and encouraged to develop their abilities with extra tuition and dance opportunities

Both junior and senior pupils enjoy dancing in School Productions, the latest being The Nutcracker in the Ben Travers Theatre, Charterhouse School.

Phillipa Hogan’s pupils have gone on to continue their training at vocational Ballet Schools, perform in West End productions, with the Royal Ballet Company, the Bolshoi Ballet and dance with the London Children’s Ballet, English Youth Ballet, Surrey Youth Ballet and are currently performing with the National Youth Ballet.

Classes are held on weekdays and Saturdays at:

St Hilary’s School, Godalming, Hascombe Village Hall, St Mary’s School Chiddingfold and Chiddingfold Village Hall
