Join Waterstones Guildford on Thursday 13th September at 7pm as Derek Landy talks about and signs copies of ‘The Kingdom of the Wicked’, the latest in the Skulduggery Pleasant series.
Derek Landy has been thrilling children with his Skulduggery Pleasant series for five years and across seven books, and Waterstones Guildford is hugely excited that he’ll be visiting the town to terrify kids in person. His books have also gained critical acclaim and he has won both the Red House Prize and the Bord Gais Energy Irish Book of the Decade.
The Skulduggery Pleasant series has gripped readers with its fast-paced storylines and blend of magic and adventure, mixed together with Derek Landy’s trademark wit and background in horror (he is the author of two screenplays, the IFTA award winning ‘Dead Bodies’ and the IFTA nominated ‘Girl Eats Boy’, starring Samantha Mumba).
Dorcia Fox-Noble, the Children’s Section Manager, says “We’ve already sold so many tickets to this event, which isn’t surprising because Derek Landy’s books are massively popular here. We’re expecting fancy dress and excitement, and we’ve got our fingers crossed that he’ll be letting us into some of the secrets behind the series and what’s in store for Valkyrie and Skulduggery in the next book.”
Tickets are £3 each and are available by visiting the bookshop or calling them on 01483 536366. Any fans unable to attend can also contact Waterstones Guildford to arrange to have their book signed.
