RASASC (Guildford Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre)

RASASC (Guildford Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre) are running a new TELEPHONE HELPLINE TRAINING COURSE for volunteers. This will take place in Guildford over 6 weeks (2 full day Saturdays and 6 Monday evenings) from 6 October to 17 November 2012.

Our Helpline offers listening and support for women and men who have experienced childhood or adult rape and/or sexual abuse. We give you full training, no experience is necessary, but we need a commitment from you of at least 18 months. It does qualify as an informal placement.

If you are free to volunteer for 3 evenings a month, we can offer you a friendly and supportive environment, supervision and ongoing training. Interviews will take place on 5 August, 2 and 23 September. There are 14 spaces, female only.

You can find out more about RASASC on our website www.rasasc-guildford.org. For an application form or further details, please contact Lizzie at [email protected] or phone 01483 568000.
