Second in the new series of live “Whistlestop” training courses will take place in February
Neuro-Dramatic-Play® announces the second in a series of live online training courses introducing the principals of Neuro-Dramatic-Play® as an essential tool for parents, carers and those working with young people with neurodiversity challenges.
Developed by Dr Sue Jennings PhD – a globally recognised expert in drama therapy and play therapy – Neuro-Dramatic-Play® is an attachment-based intervention that focuses on early playful relationships. Through play it emphasises a combination of basic trust, security and ritual, through stimulation, exploration and risk.
The Autism and Asperger’s course will take place on a choice of dates – February 3rd or February 5th – at an affordable £45.00 per person, including booking fee. The live, two-hour online course aims to be informative and accessible to parents, carers, foster parents and adoptive parents caring for young people with autism or Asperger’s.
Dr Sue Jennings explained, “Parents and carers of children living with autism or Asperger’s often feel powerless, as if they lack the expertise and professional knowledge to support their child. The Neuro-Dramatic-Play Whistlestop course delivers a practical insight into the life-changing benefits of this unique therapeutic practice, giving parents confidence and valuable skills to feel more empowered in their day-to-day parenting.”
The course is also invaluable to professional practitioners in education, child psychotherapy, practitioners of paediatrics, play and arts therapy and child psychology together with those in training or undertaking post-graduate education in these fields
Neuro-Dramatic-Play therapy is beneficial for children of any age – from newborn to young adult, or even adult. It has a unique influence on child development both during pregnancy and in the early months. Neuro-Dramatic-Play therapy is not just suited to the neurodiverse, either – also for children who have suffered neglect, trauma or series illness.
Bookable through Eventbrite, the course fee is £45.00 per person including booking fee.
