Raystede is a charity that aims to give animals a better life through rehoming, rehabilitation, and sanctuary, and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect. Raystede cares for a wide variety of animals, including cats, horses, dogs, rabbits and exotic birds.
Many of the animals have been neglected, abused, or exploited. Raystede helps most of the animals find new homes but also provides life-long sanctuary for animals that cannot be rehomed.
Raystede is open to visitors from 10am to 4pm every day and while entry is free, it is essential to book a ticket.
The charity also runs a variety of family learning days during the school holidays.
