The Centre opens its doors from <strong>Saturday 1 April to Sunday 16 April <\/strong>and is home to the UK\u2019s finest collection of native wild species. The collection of over forty different species includes everything from tiny harvest mice, Europe\u2019s smallest rodent, right through to red deer, which is Britain\u2019s largest land mammal. You\u2019ll see rare Scottish wildcats, red squirrels, badgers, hedgehogs, foxes and more.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre\u2019s animal residents are housed in spacious enclosures, landscaped to reflect wild habitats, allowing them to display natural behaviour. And the popular Keeper Talks, which take place very half an hour, give you the chance to learn more about these animals and the challenges they face in the wild, while seeing them even closer. The Centre offers so much to see and provides fabulous opportunities for wildlife photography.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Children\u2019s Easter Trail \u2013 Easter Sunday 9 April 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children will enjoy\u00a0spotting eggs that are hidden amongst the animals. There might be one on the banks of the otter ponds, in the red squirrel copse, or being guarded by the barn owls. If\u00a0children spot them all they&#8217;ll win a\u00a0small chocolate treat. Every entry goes into a prize draw to win Family Membership (for 2 adults and up to 4 children) worth \u00a3160, allowing a year&#8217;s unlimited visits during normal opening times.
