Orpheus Centre

On Saturday 31 July 2021 Orphest will be returning to the Orpheus Centre in Godstone, Surrey, for a family friendly music festival from 12-7.30 pm.

Orphest will take place in the stunning grounds of local celebrity Sir Richard Stilgoe’s former home. The one day inclusive festival will feature live music, 2 stages, kids zone, performance area, stalls, food and of course a bar! The festival will feature a wide range of music and workshops – something to keep everyone in the family entertained.

Opening the festival will be the winner of Orpheus Got Talent. We’ll hear later in the day from our young disabled Orpheus students, entertaining us with their original songs, featuring our Music Majors group.

An eclectic host of acts await Orpheus merrymakers including:

  • George Wilks
  • Jackie Moon and the Hell Yeahs
  • The Lost Cavalry
  • Nige Betteridge and Howard Boder
  • The Sandilands Shanty Crew
  • Chris Lammin
  • Fosk Gero
  • Stephen Murphy
  • Millie Jane Franks

Something for everyone would be an understatement – this is an amazing line up that you won’t want to miss. Orpheus is not just about the music – it’s a culturally enriching experience with lots of workshops and activities to take part in including ukulele, Makaton and belly-dancing.

There’s so much happening at the festival, some serious food will be in order, and the festival is going gourmet with freshly made, wood-fired pizzas or perhaps a spot of tea and cake is more in order? The bar will be open with beer, Prosecco and Pimm’s on offer.

Families looking for quality time together need go no further than Orphest’s Kids Zone with the hilarious Clown Rico who will keep your children entertained.

Tickets cost £15 per adult, £10 concessions and children under 12 are FREE. Tickets are available for purchase either by calling the Orpheus Box Office on 01883 741414 or click here.
