Kickstart Christmas in style at Dorking’s annual late-night shopping event on Thursday 1 December from 6pm to 8.30pm. The town’s shops, cafes and restaurants will recreate a ‘traditional Christmas’, and there will be entertainment and activities for all ages.

The High Street, from Pump Corner to Oxfam Books, and all of West Street, will be pedestrianised so families can roam safely. This also means there will be space for lots of live music from local bands, dancing, street entertainers, choirs and Christmas stalls.

There will be a nativity scene in St Martin’s Church and in South Street you can take a look at the real, friendly  reindeer.

The town’s car parks will be free to park in from 3pm on the day, so visitors can spend the money they save on a mince pie!
