Surrey’s favourite nine hole golf club raises thousands more for good causes with its 3 Way Charity Golf Day
In September last year Reigate Heath Golf Club held its second 3 Way Charity Golf Day to raise money for good causes. The club’s members got right behind it and the net results of the Golf Day and Auction Dinner afterwards, with subsequent donations, is the wonderful total of just over £17,000 for three local charities.
Chosen by the club’s captains of the Men’s, Ladies and Ancient Britons’ sections, the money was divided between the following causes respectively:
• The Chestnut Tree House chosen by Men’s Captain John Lindley: providing final care to children, particularly those injured in sporting events.
• Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust chosen by Ladies’ Captain Claire Gallagher: responding to patients who have suffered serious medical emergencies, 24 hours a day.
• Home-Start chosen by AB’s Captain David Ruston: supporting families with young children to deal with whatever life throws at them and to give their kids the best start in life.
