New soft play sessions available for children with special educational needs and disabilities
Lets Explore, the premium soft play centre in Horley, has launched a new play session for Surrey and Sussex children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Taking place on the first Tuesday of every month, from 4pm to 6pm, the Lets Explore SEND sessions are exclusive to children with special educational needs and disabilities, their siblings and parents, guardians or carers.
Each play session is tailored to the children, and as such, has a quiet ‘no music or tannoy’ policy. The centre also employs additional staff for the sessions to help parents, and interact with children and their siblings. The sessions are also charged at a reduced rate of £5 per child including a parent or carer.
Stuart Duncan, general manager at Lets Explore, said,
“We are very conscious that there are limited play options in the area for parents with children who have special educational needs and disabilities, so we are delighted to be able to offer these exclusive SEND play sessions at Lets Explore every month.
“We understand that children with special educational needs and disabilities can sometimes require a calmer environment than what is normally found at soft play centres, so we hope these sessions will provide a welcomed opportunity for all. We also know that everyone’s needs are different and we want to make sure parents’ visits are as relaxed and easy as they can be. With this in mind, we are more than happy to try and accommodate additional requests where possible – just call and speak with our dedicated team if there is any way we can help further.”
