Want to have a go at one of the UK’s fastest growing sports? Then head to Southglade Park on Saturday 20 January (11am – 3pm) and have a go at Disc Golf.
Disc Golf goes on the same principles to normal Golf but throwing a Disc like Frisbee towards a target/basket – the benefits are being open to all, getting out being active, enjoying Nottingham parks/green spaces, learning a new sport and having fun together!
Saturday’s event is a taster session where members of the public can come and try Disc Golf for free (all equipment provided).
Then on Sunday 21 January (9am – 4pm) there will be a national tournament where the top Disc Golf players in the country will be fighting out in the final competition of the 2017/18 season.
With only 4 points between the top 2 players it will be a fierce battle for the overall title – these 2 players are the current British No. 1 – Declan Bransby from Worthing, who is the British Champion and has won the 2017 British Open title at only 16yrs old and he takes on the British No. 2 – James Luton from Birmingham the current MODS champion and former British No. 1.
