22/23 JUNE 2019, SATURDAY and/or SUNDAY
VISITOR ENTRY £3 total for both days, 2-6pm
We are now fortunate to have 15 + gardens. However as some will only open for one day we would welcome more of you to share your gardens. A map will show where there are refreshments and toilet stops. Some gardens will provide children’s activities.
A reminder of why we’re doing this: we have chosen Dove Cottage as our 2019 charity.
The Dove’s Cottage Day Hospice hosts a drop-in session for people with dementia and their carers. It takes place on the second Friday of each month. Anyone can turn up and be welcome. It starts off with a cup of tea and (very important) cake. Then the carers separate and go to a different room, where they can off-load, and share experiences both good and bad. The dementia sufferers have activities in the original room.
Dove’s Cottage receives no funding for this, and have asked Cotgrave Open Gardens to direct any profits we make to this most worthy local cause.
Supporting grants have been received from Cotgrave Town Council and Nottingham County Council which will help to cover costs of publicity and general costs. Please help us by spreading the word to your family and friends.
If you are interested please be assured that all children are required to be supervised, the public enter your garden at their own risk and no visiting dogs are allowed.
If you would be interested in joining our committee or would like to discuss opening your garden to the public in June, please contact Stefanie at [email protected], 07455 313 426 or Anna on 0115 989 9404.
